Vecinos y vecinas de Ciudad de la Costa plantaron el \u00e1rbol nativo n\u00famero 1000 en el Centro Cultural de Shangril\u00e1. Este acontecimiento estuvo enmarcado en el proyecto Canel\u00f3n, que es llevado adelante por la Comisi\u00f3n Pro Fomento de Shangril\u00e1 y apoyado por el Gobierno de Canelones y el Municipio de Ciudad de la Costa. Asimismo, esta acci\u00f3n fue apoyada por Plantaci\u00f3n Uruguay, la Red Uruguaya de ONGs Ambientalistas, Verde, Rotunda, PNUD, ONU, el Ministerio de Ambiente y el Ministerio de Ganader\u00eda, Agricultura y Pesca.
Participaron de la actividad el Dir. General de la Agencia y Convivencia Ciudadana del Gobierno de Canelones, Rodrigo Amengual, el Director del parque Roosevelt, Jos\u00e9 Freitas, representantes de la Comisi\u00f3n Pro Fomento de Shangril\u00e1, estudiantes y docentes de instituciones educativas, entre otros.
Durante el evento, Amengual enfatiz\u00f3 la motivaci\u00f3n y el compromiso que tiene el Gobierno Departamental con organizaciones de la sociedad civil, colectivos ambientalistas, centros educativos y la ciudadan\u00eda en general por \u201cir hacia los 2000 \u00e1rboles nativos reforestados\u201d.
La Presidenta de la Comisi\u00f3n Pro Fomento de Shangril\u00e1, Graciela Moreira, por su parte, habl\u00f3 de la elecci\u00f3n de Canel\u00f3n como nombre del proyecto y destac\u00f3 la importancia de reforestar la ciudad con esta especie. Sostuvo que la finalidad es \u201chacer honor al nombre que tiene nuestro departamento\u201d.
El proyecto Canel\u00f3n es un programa que busca reforestar y reverdecer con plantines nativos diferentes espacios p\u00fablicos del departamento. La jornada culmin\u00f3 con un espect\u00e1culo art\u00edstico para ni\u00f1os y ni\u00f1as, a cargo del colectivo T\u00edteres Amair\u00fa.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
