En la madrugada del martes 29 de julio, bomberos del Destacamento de Santa Luc\u00eda intervinieron en un incendio generalizado en un residencial ubicado en la intersecci\u00f3n de las calles Brasil y Dr. Luis Alberto de Herrera. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

El fuego se encontraba generalizado y varios residentes habr\u00edan sido rescatados con anterioridad al arribo de bomberos. \u00a0Ante la posible presencia de personas en el interior, se inici\u00f3 un operativo de b\u00fasqueda en paralelo a la extinci\u00f3n del incendio, mientras se solicit\u00f3 apoyo de otras dotaciones y servicios m\u00e9dicos. En el lugar se encontraban alojadas 17 personas, de las cuales 15 eran residentes mayores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c\u201cUn hombre de 90 a\u00f1os fue rescatado y trasladado por intoxicaci\u00f3n con humo. Adem\u00e1s, personal policial traslad\u00f3 a un hombre de 46 a\u00f1os con quemaduras y signos de intoxicaci\u00f3n, y a otro de 29 a\u00f1os por dificultad respiratoria. A pesar del esfuerzo desplegado, fue ubicado sin vida un hombre de 63 a\u00f1os en el interior del establecimiento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El incendio afect\u00f3 tres habitaciones y provoc\u00f3 el colapso parcial del techo. Las tareas de remoci\u00f3n y enfriamiento se extendieron durante la madrugada, con intervenci\u00f3n de bomberos de Santa Luc\u00eda, apoyo de dotaciones de Canelones y personal del Departamento de Investigaci\u00f3n de Siniestros. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tambi\u00e9n se hizo presente Fiscal\u00eda de Primer Turno, que trabaja junto a Polic\u00eda y Bomberos para determinar el origen y causa del incendio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
