Tras una sorprendente carrera y un excelente desempe\u00f1o durante los 42 kil\u00f3metros, Julia Paternain se colg\u00f3 la medalla de bronce en el marat\u00f3n femenino del Mundial de Atletismo en Tokio, un logro que no estaba en los c\u00e1lculos de nadie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Especialista en los 5.000 y 10.000 metros, Tokio representaba apenas su segunda marat\u00f3n en toda su carrera, lo que realza a\u00fan m\u00e1s la magnitud de lo conseguido por esta atleta de 25 a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lleg\u00f3 al campeonato como n\u00famero 288 del ranking mundial en esta prueba, pero en las calles de la capital nipona demostr\u00f3 un alt\u00edsimo nivel, cruzando la meta en 2:27:23 y logrando as\u00ed la primera medalla para nuestro pa\u00eds en la historia de los Mundiales de Atletismo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
