La informaci\u00f3n fue presentada este 18 de enero por el titular de Trabajo y Seguridad Social, Pablo Mieres. Entre noviembre y diciembre, la reducci\u00f3n signific\u00f3 un 3,2%, 1.483 trabajadores, dijo el jerarca, y agreg\u00f3 que en los \u00faltimos siete meses alcanz\u00f3 un 42,3%, 33.879 personas. Los datos ratifican la tendencia a la baja, con unos 10.000 individuos menos en el seguro que en el segundo semestre de 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mieres destac\u00f3 que hubo una mejora \u201cmuy significativa\u201d de las cifras, que en estos \u00faltimos dos meses se concentr\u00f3 en el seguro de desempleo parcial, que se redujo a 10.549 trabajadores. Asimismo, inform\u00f3 que la cantidad de personas en seguro de paro total es 35.663. El jerarca subray\u00f3 que se trata de un avance con respecto a 2019, etapa previa al comienzo de la pandemia de COVID-19, y revel\u00f3 que est\u00e1 relacionado con la reducci\u00f3n del desempleo, de un 8% a un 7,4%, en el pasado mes de octubre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Durante su intervenci\u00f3n, se\u00f1al\u00f3 que el objetivo para 2022 es que el empleo aumente y que, para lograrlo, la clave es que la econom\u00eda crezca, haya m\u00e1s inversi\u00f3n y se generen m\u00e1s puestos de trabajo. Agreg\u00f3 que, de las personas que egresaron del seguro de paro en diciembre, el 70% se reincorpor\u00f3 al mercado laboral.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El ministro se\u00f1al\u00f3 que, seg\u00fan datos proporcionados por el Banco de Previsi\u00f3n Social (BPS), se observa un incremento de la actividad en el sector tur\u00edstico.
