La distinci\u00f3n a las Cimarronas, campeonas invictas en el Torneo Hero FIH Hockey 5, organizado por la Federaci\u00f3n Internacional de Hockey, entre el 4 y 5 de junio en Suiza, estuvo encabezada por el presidente de la Rep\u00fablica, Luis Lacalle Pou, este 20 de junio. En la ocasi\u00f3n, autoridades de la Federaci\u00f3n Uruguaya de Hockey anunciaron que Uruguay es candidato a organizar el Mundial femenino de esa disciplina, previsto para 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reconocimiento a actuaci\u00f3n de Selecci\u00f3n de Hockey Femenino
<\/strong>Tambi\u00e9n estuvieron presentes el secretario nacional del Deporte, Sebasti\u00e1n Bauz\u00e1; el subsecretario nacional del Deporte, Pablo Ferrari; la impulsora de Sembrando y madrina de la Federaci\u00f3n Uruguaya de Hockey, Lorena Ponce de Le\u00f3n, y el presidente de la Federaci\u00f3n Uruguaya de Hockey, Juan Espasand\u00edn.
Bauz\u00e1 destac\u00f3 la difusi\u00f3n que el organismo realiza respecto a la referida disciplina, a trav\u00e9s de las \u00e1reas de Deporte Federado y Deporte Comunitario. En este sentido, explic\u00f3 que mediante la implementaci\u00f3n del programa Vamos Equipo, escolares de todo el pa\u00eds acceden pr\u00e1cticas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En tanto, Espasand\u00edn resalt\u00f3 la evoluci\u00f3n de los equipos que forman parte del proceso de Cimarronas e inform\u00f3 que Uruguay es candidato a ser sede de la m\u00e1xima competici\u00f3n internacional de hockey femenino en 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sobre esa posibilidad, Bauz\u00e1 declar\u00f3 que aguarda una resoluci\u00f3n favorable a la candidatura y que este evento recibir\u00e1 el apoyo de la instituci\u00f3n que encabeza.
